Friday in Chicago

September 30th, 2019 § 0 comments § permalink

Friday is #Chicago it rained! 🌧 a lot. So we started @eggyschi for breakfast ( green eggs and ham ftw). Then we went to @artinstitutechi and spent a pleasant few hours looking around. Something Charlotte and I don’t often do – art museums together. That night was #greektownchicago for dinner, a stop for an amazing chocolate cake @girl.and.the.goat and a walk home in the rain. But a quick stop to see a #Miro statue. (at Chicago, Illinois)

I seem to travel in the same clothes too: boots (worn out ) #fryes, black jeans and long sleeve top. Pretty standard and easy. (at San Francisco International Airport (SFO))

Hanger1 Night Out

Last night was a wonderful event thanks too @hangar1distillery, @infatuation_sf and @lordstanley_sf. I bought a ticket to a vodka and dinner experience and that it was. The cocktails were not something I would normally drink – too sweet – but the food and venue were superb.

A bus took all the participants too and from the event which was a wonderful luxury and the setting was perfect. Sunset overlooking the bay! Photo of me by: @stephaniecourtphotography

I would definitely visit @hanger1distillery again. And I did not feel awkward on my own as everyone was super nice. 🙂. #hanger1distillery #lordstanleysf #theinfatuation #saturdaynight (at Hangar 1 Distillery)

2 Years of Loss

September 2nd, 2019 § 0 comments § permalink

The 31st August was two years since my mom died. This year felt rawer than last year. I suppose as you get further away, the knowledge about what you miss grows. I miss my mom, more than I can say.

I did a yoga style class at gym and had two mimosas, as I knew she would approve, then went to the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market. Something she would have loved. She would have tasted all the fruit, eaten some cheese and loved the people watching.

These flowers are for her. #mommy #rip #love #flowers (at San Francisco, California)
