I had a wonderfully full weekend. I spent a huge chunk of Friday spring cleaning my house: the kitchen, the dining room, the bathroom, and some of my bedroom. I also went to lunch with teka at Holy Taco, in East Atlanta. I also managed to get to Target, and the bank! A very busy day.
Then Friday night I went to dinner with Greg A at Top Floor. It was great. The food was wonderful and the dinner nice and slow. Apart from the massive downpour as we got to the restaurant, the whole experience was very fun.
Saturday was more cleaning and laundry as well, this time it was the lounge. Which took me a while – damn cats – and then I met the bee guy!
I had emailed this guy about keeping hives in my back garden for the summer and so Saturday he came over to install them, it was very interesting. I got to see the queen, and what a thousand or so bees look like when you tip them upside down, I got to wear a bee keepers suit, and take lots of photos. I am hoping things go well, and the bees are happy in my garden.
Then it was off to Athens to go see Woven Hand at Tasty World. Luckily it was an early show – they started at 7:15, and were over by 8:35, and were amazing.
Sunday was work, and then some grocery shopping and home to cook and cut up fruit for lunches, and just generally relax. I was going to go to Explosions in the Sky, but felt as I am going to Iron and Wine tonight, it would just be too much.
